The Shoot and Move Sport for Everyone
Have you ever wanted to do more than shoot bullseyes from a bench or stall on a static range? ASI is The Shoot and Move Sport for Everyone, and delivers exactly what it promises! At an ASI match, you can improve your gun-handling skills and confidence without an emphasis on athleticism, in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. As they say, if you're not enjoying yourself at an ASI match, you're not doing it right!
At minimum, you will need the following.
Eye and ear protection.
A pistol, revolver, or Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC).
Two magazines or speed loaders.
70-100 rounds of ammunition.
A bag, case, or holster.
If you bring a PCC, you will also need a chamber flag.
If you only have one magazine, accommodations can be made. Certain holsters are prohibited, specifically shoulder holsters, small-of-the-back holsters, and cross draw rigs. All other holsters are allowed to be worn.
Absolutely! Some quality of life improvements include:
A brimmed hat.
Water. There is no potable water on the range.
Work or range gloves to help tear down.
There is no cost other than the match fee and ammunition to try ASI.
Get an ASI Membership. An ASI membership is required in order to participate in a match. You can get a free 90 day, no-nag membership using the Membership link on this page. You can attend as many matches as you want within the 90 day period. After the 90 days, if you decide that ASI is right for you, 1, 3, and 5 year memberships are available.
Register for the match on Practiscore. Matches are listed on the Match Calendar. A free Practiscore account is required to register for the match.
Attend New Shooter Orientation. New Shooter Orientation (NSO) is required for new members. During NSO, you'll be briefed on the safety rules the match operates under, and how the game is played. Arrive early enough to pay the match fee, and attend NSO. See events on our club Practiscore page for NSO times.
See the ASI FAQ for more information. If your question is not answered there, send email to asi@evergreenpracticalshooting.com, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
